Industrial Insulation Company
An industrial insulation company is a specialist in industrial thermal insulation that designs, manufactures, and installs custom insulation solutions for fluid networks.
What is an industrial insulation company?
An industrial insulation company is a specialist in industrial thermal insulation that designs, manufactures, and installs custom insulation solutions for fluid networks. These professionals work in many sectors: pharmaceutical industry, food processing, automotive, aerospace, chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, as well as in maritime (engine and turbine exhausts, fuel piping, MPX heaters, tubing, etc.), the tertiary sector (hospitals, nursing homes, aquatic centers), and residential.
Solutions offered by insulation specialists
thermal insulation mattresses
The insulation mattress represents a revolutionary flexible thermal insulation solution that advantageously replaces traditional aluminum box insulation. These mattresses are designed custom-made to perfectly fit the elements to be insulated: flanged valves, steam traps, taps, filters, flanges, steam cylinders, pumps, flange sets, bypass valves, expansion joints and exhaust manifolds.
100% French manufacturing
The “Made in France” insulation mattresses are custom-made in specialized workshops located in Normandy. The local manufacturing process includes:
- Cutting Workshop
- Sewing Workshop
- Filling Workshop
- Order Preparation Workshop
This in-house approach ensures total control of the process from start to finish.
What is the difference between an insulation mattress and a heating mattress?
The insulation mattress is a passive solution: it retains existing heat by limiting thermal losses to the outside. The heating mattress is an active solution: it incorporates a heating cord capable of generating heat autonomously. The heating mattress is therefore recommended when passive insulation is not sufficient, particularly for frost protection or maintaining the temperature of sensitive fluids.
Can a heating mattress be used in ATEX zones?
Yes, our heating mattresses can be adapted for explosive atmospheres (ATEX) upon request. We then select components and heating cords certified for these hazardous environments.
What is the lifespan of an industrial heating mattress?
The lifespan of a heating mattress depends on operating conditions and service temperature. Generally, it is 10 years for temperatures below 120°C and 5 years for temperatures above 120°C. Regular maintenance and proper storage during periods of non-use can extend this lifespan.
Is the heating mattress eligible for CEE grants?
Insulation of critical points is eligible for Energy Savings Certificates (CEE) under the BAT-TH-155 scheme for the tertiary sector. Calomatech supports you in preparing your CEE application to benefit from these financial incentives.
Can the mattress be easily removed for maintenance?
Yes, our heating mattresses are designed to be quickly removed and reinstalled, without tools. The fastening system using loops, straps, and metal buckles allows a single person to work in seconds. This feature greatly facilitates maintenance operations on your equipment.
What heating power should I choose for my installation?
The heating power depends on several factors: the minimum ambient temperature, the desired set temperature, the surface area to be heated, and the fluid characteristics. Our design office performs precise sizing for each project to recommend the power suited to your needs.

Studies and Quotations
The process begins with an on-site technical quotation where professionals take measurements, perform thermal calculations, and present the adapted insulation solution.
CAD DESIGN
Design Office
For specific parts, the design office develops plans for insulation mattresses on a computer using 3D software, taking into account shapes and the environment (constraints, space requirements, tie rods, cable trays).

Custom manufacturing
and on-site installation
Custom manufacturing takes place in the production workshop where each mattress goes through an evolution process, passing through the hands of different specialized teams.
Transportation throughout the country is provided, followed by on-site installation by internally trained and experienced technicians. The teams possess the appropriate certifications:
- N1 + N2 Certification
- Work at height + harness
- CACES – Aerial Work Platforms
